About Me

Hi! Thanks for clicking that link. If you’re interested in me enough to be on this page, let me tell you a few things about myself:

I’m a lifelong gamer, designer, and nerd with a passion for both video and tabletop games. I lean towards games with big stories and big worlds, where I can immerse myself in a fictional place. That’s why I became a game designer! I want to make things players think about for a long time and always feel like there are deeper secrets to be found.

I’m a narrative designer because I love to tell stories, and even more than that I love to let other people tell stories. As a tabletop RPG designer and often game master, I try my best to design for emergent narratives and give people moments that they can interpret themselves. What else has happened in this world, and what could happen in the future?

I’m a level designer because I love games with a sense of place and history. I think a lot about how players interact with a space and what they might be thinking, not just about immediate gameplay but about the bigger picture. How do the people here live their lives? What role am I playing by being here?

But the real magic for me is the combination of the two. Worldbuilding so that the history of a place leads to its present! Environmental storytelling so that the layout and decoration of a place can create their own stories! In my mind, these two aspects of design should work together to make something greater than the sum of their parts. If there’s a role on a team that’s right in the middle of the two, that’s where I want to be.

What else? I love mechs, I love big complicated RPGs, and I love when friendship gives you superpowers. I’m currently a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology, but I’m close to graduating and looking for a job in this chaotic, rapidly changing industry. I build model kits (mostly Gundams) in my spare time, and I like riding my bike and going for long walks. My favorite season is Summer, and my favorite color is lavender (if you couldn’t tell by looking at this site). I grew up with a lot of dogs and cats, and I love both equally. I own way too many video game art books.

Some of my finest model kits.

If you’ve made it this far in this big block of text, or even if you’ve just skipped to the bottom, thanks for reading. If any of this excites you, please reach out! I love to talk about games and how they’re made, and I’d love to hear from you.
